This role involves assessing credit proposals for new and existing facilities, providing expert opinions to approving authorities, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of credit assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide credit assessment and evaluation of credit proposals
• Recommend appropriate credit proposals and terms
• Attend and present papers to credit committees
• Prepare and present credit reports
• Interrogate information to understand business parameters and risks
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate credit risks
• Provide technical support and coaching to other credit analysts
• Structure deals in line with purpose and cash inflows
• Review applications before submission for approvals
• Adhere to agreed timelines and calendars
• Attend CREDCO meetings and provide opinions
• Attend other credit-related meetings
• Review credit policy and manuals
• Utilize industry information to understand threats
• Build relationships with business counterparties
• Detect and evaluate shifts in key risk parameters
• Work with Credit Risk department for RCA testing
• Take remedial actions for deteriorating exposures
• Mentor and monitor Credit Analysts
• Keep track records of credit applications
• Respond to audit and BOT queries

Requirements:

• Business understanding of various industry sectors
• Ability to defend own judgement
• Excellent understanding of credit and associated risks
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Bank Credit Products
• Detailed knowledge of credit analysis techniques
• Analytical and numerate
• Communications and presentation skills
• Negotiation skills
