We are currently seeking to recruit Core Banking Application Specialist (Dar es Salaam).
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Ensure the performance, availability, and dependability of the primary banking application by administering and maintaining it.
- Keep an eye on system performance, resolve problems, and carry out regular maintenance.
- Upgrade and patch systems with the least amount of interference to banking operations.
- Assist with technical matters and address problems pertaining to main banking software.
- Serve as the end user’s point of contact for questions and issues pertaining to the system.
- Organize advanced technical assistance and issue resolution with software providers.
- Set up and modify the main banking system in accordance with corporate needs and legal regulations.
- Create and put into use new features and system improvements that are in line with company requirements.
- To make sure they fulfill quality standards and don’t interfere with ongoing business operations, plan and carry out testing for new features, system updates, and integrations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Strong familiarity with SQL, Oracle FLEXCUBE, and system integration principles in key banking systems.
- Three to five years of expertise with similar financial systems or managing and maintaining core banking applications.
- Knowledge of the rules governing banking and the requirements for compliance, familiarity with financial products and banking procedures.
- Familiarity with system integration initiatives. A benefit are relevant credentials such as ITIL and Certified Information Systems Auditor.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to communicate technical ideas to stakeholders who are not technically inclined.
- It is advantageous to have prior experience with project management techniques and resources.
