Responsibilities

Program Support:

  • To guarantee the timely completion of scheduled tasks, collaborate closely with technical, programmatic, and field teams.
  • Another program Organize program training, which includes, but is not limited to, identifying training locations and setting up the logistics of training facilities in coordination with office teams.
  • Assure the program technical team’s coordination in providing technical support for the yearly meetings on health plans and budgets for government budgetary strategies.
  • coordinating the weekly or monthly programmatic updates to keep the technical team and leadership informed.
  • Project teams operating in the area should get administrative and logistical support to guarantee that all travels are scheduled and carried out on time, including the preparation and reconciliation of TARs in advance.
  • To expedite the processing of claim approval, make sure that copies of the contracts with regional program service providers are properly submitted.

Driving:

  • To drive project personnel, partner personnel, consultants, guests, and project participants for business objectives in a safe, dependable, and timely manner.
  • To strictly adhere to the Republic of Tanzania’s highway traffic regulations as well as the Jhpiego, JHU, and USAID vehicle management policies and procedures.
  • Should exercise caution when driving, averting and managing any unforeseen circumstances brought on by other drivers.
  • To guarantee that the designated car is solely utilized for project-related activities.
  • After every journey, fill out the vehicle mileage log and make sure the travelers sign it. Give the log to the administrator for review at the conclusion of each month.
  • Should always drive with a high degree of security awareness, securing doors and windows, and paying attention to how other people are driving.

Vehicle maintenance:

  • Makes sure the designated car is always in good working order.
  • Make sure the designated car is always clean.
  • Keep track of when vehicles need to be serviced and let the transport officer or manager know.
  • Request routine maintenance and vehicle repairs using the Maintenance Requisition Form, and let the Transport Officer or Transport Manager know in writing if any major repairs are required.
  • Every time a defect is discovered or a vehicle is serviced or repaired, the vehicle maintenance log must be completed and sent to the transport officer or transport manager for analysis at the end of each month.
  • Keep the car equipped with emergency supplies such as a first aid kit, a spare tire, a towing rope, water bottles, etc.

Office Support:

  • Continually assist the office as directed by the regional manager and other senior staff members.
  • Carry out any additional tasks that may be designated.

Required Qualifications

  • Education in secondary schools,
  • Must have a current Class C driver’s license issued in Tanzania.
  • Five or more years of relevant job experience, ideally gained while working for a multinational business
  • Must possess the National Institute of Transportation’s Advanced Driving Certificate (NIT).
  • Affable disposition and readiness to take directions and carry them out.
  • Requires a self-starter who can carry out regular tasks without a lot of active supervision or specific instructions.
  • The Driver needs to be able to manage a variety of tasks, occasionally under time constraints.
  • Availability for extended work shifts
  • Along with cooperation, diligence, and flexibility, they must also be able to present a consistent and professional image.
  • The Driver must be viewed by both internal and external clients as a competent, honorable, capable, and trustworthy individual.
