Assist in achieving the bank’s retail sales goals by promoting bank goods and services to both new and current clients, strengthening existing bonds with them, and maintaining operational excellence while adhering to the necessary service standards.
Location – Dar es Salaam Zone, Highlands Zone, Southern Zone, Central Zone, Western Zone, Northern Zone, Lake Zone & Zanzibar Cluster.
Main Responsibilities:
- Obtain new bank clients in the designated territory by making appointments, asking for referrals, or canvassing homes.
- Create new client bank accounts and gather account opening costs to be sent to the branch.
- Educate customers on how to use our self-service channels and register them with NMB Mkononi.
- As per the bank’s policies and procedures, make sure every newly established account satisfies the necessary KYC standards.
- Reach or surpass your weekly, monthly, or annual sales targets.
- Create leads and engage customers in upselling and cross-selling bank products and services.
- Take part in marketing campaigns, unique initiatives, and events to promote bank goods and services.
- Find recurring customers and build relationships by consistently pitching bank goods and services.
- Help management come up with effective pricing and marketing strategies.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Direct sales expertise
- Familiarity with bank services and products
- Capacity to manage and cultivate connections with customers
- The ability to sell outside banking halls where one is constantly exposed to the elements, particularly bad weather
- Willing to work outside of regular business hours
- Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through abilities
- Excellent consultative selling abilities
- Outstanding abilities in providing customer service
- Presentation and communication abilities
- Standard Excel and Word computer skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, banking, insurance and risk management, business administration, or a similar discipline.
- The Certificate of Insurance Proficiency will be a bonus.
