Open Positions and Description

1. Lecturers/Assistant Lecturers

  • Sociology (1)
  • Information Sciences (1)
  • Linguistics (2)
  • Accountancy (1)
  • Philosophy (1) 
  • Theology (Systematic) (1)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, publishing, and consulting.
  • Conduct lectures, seminars, mark tests, assignments, and exams, and deliver results on time.
  • In addition to the duties outlined for the lecturer/research fellow position, you will be responsible for advising junior staff on academic and professional problems.
  • Any other duties as assigned by his or her supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • The professor/assistant lecturer must have a Ph.D. and a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline, with a minimum GPA of 4.0 and 3.5 from a recognized university.

2. Administrative Officer – 1 Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Deals with general office administration with minimal supervision in one of the sectors of human resources and administrative functions.
  • Undertaking all general duties to ensure the incumbent’s basic orientation within the University at the Junior Management level.
  • Organizes, oversees, and controls the operations of a college unit, such as the faculty.
  • Assisting with the planning, organization, direction, coordination, and budgeting of human resources activities.
  • Preparing and organizing a postgraduate research defense, as well as assisting with the collection and verification of a postgraduate thesis or dissertation.
  • Developing long and short-term training programs.
  • Supervising junior employees.
  • Organizing oversees and controls the operations of the college unit, such as a faculty, etc.

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in public administration, public relations, business administration, or a comparable discipline, plus at least three years of experience in a similar role from a recognized university.

3. Assistant Librarian – 1 Position

  • Performing typical professional and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Managing library records, references, etc.
  • Providing bibliographic services.
  • Headings for subsections.
  • Routine ordering and processing of books.
  • Assisted the Heads of Sections in ensuring the smooth operation of the library and information services provided by library assistants.
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of tools, machines, and equipment entrusted to him/her in order to provide library services.
  • Performing any additional tasks allocated by one’s reporting officer.

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in library/records/information sciences from a reputable institution, plus at least two years of experience in a related role.

4. Receptionist – 1 Position

  • Answers calls from subscribers and remote exchanges.
  • Connects calls within the exchange region and outside, raising appropriate rates as needed.
  • Ensure that the office is well-organized, with documents and resources easily accessible.
  • Makes bookings for international exchange and prepares relevant documents and reports for his/her supervisor.
  • Performs any other duties as given by the supervisor.

Qualification:

  • A holder of a diploma in front office Management and at least three years of working experience in a similar position.
