Tanzania’s Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) oversees the recruitment and selection of public service positions. PSRS was established with the goal of promoting transparency, justice, and equal opportunity. It plays an important role in safeguarding the integrity and professionalism of Tanzania’s public service sector. PSRS is responsible for arranging and overseeing the entire recruitment process.
This includes advertising open positions, accepting applications, shortlisting candidates based on criteria, conducting interviews and assessments, and recommending appointments to various government ministries, departments, and agencies.The Secretariat attempts to choose the most qualified persons for public service posts.
