EABL is East Africa’s premier branded alcohol beverage company, with an impressive portfolio of products ranging from beer and spirits to adult non-alcoholic beverages. The Group’s wide network of brewers, distilleries, and distribution facilities extends over six East African nations, with a concentration in the three key markets of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Job Purpose/Overview:
The post will assist the Head of Supply Finance in managing the Supply Finance activities within our markets in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, as follows:
- Contribute to the business by supporting decision-making through precise supply chain financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
- Provide financial leadership to the supply chain department by delivering information and insights that will affect decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all supply chain planning processes, including budgeting, long-term planning, re-forecasting, and monthly rolling forecasts.
- Support monthly supply chain business evaluations by raising any issues on time and providing clarity and openness.
- Participate in monthly performance meetings by sharing insights on cost, working capital, and capex factors.
- Track productivity delivery by business units on a monthly basis and report on the consolidated picture every month.
- Support the standardization and simplification of supply chain finance processes across our business segments.
- Ensure the exchange of best practices across markets in order to improve cost and process management.
- Create consolidated supply finance reports for monthly and quarterly performance reporting to the EABL leadership team, board, and Africa business performance.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
1. Education & Professional Qualification
- Business degree
- Chartered Accountant or similar qualification
2. Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an international FMCG company, with at least one year of expertise in cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
- SAP Knowledge.
- Strong analytical and communication capabilities across all levels of the organization.
- Effective interpersonal and proactive attitude.
- Ability to exert influence without formal authority.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Capability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and modeling.
