The Senior Manager, Internal Audit, is an important member of the Internal Audit Team, responsible for conducting information systems audits throughout the bank’s information systems (IS) infrastructure and business applications. This involves conducting audits on complicated computer programs and technological solutions in compliance with professional IS auditing standards or any other applicable requirements. The incumbent also provides an objective assessment of the bank’s financial and operational activities, guaranteeing the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the internal controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and carry out IS audits, including identifying and assessing risks, planning and prioritizing audit tasks, and creating audit reports.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, risk management, and adherence to standards of IS audits while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Conduct information control audits, which include system security, backup and disaster recovery, system maintenance, and more.
- Create an annual risk-based IS audit plan in consultation with the Director of Internal Audit.
- Create thorough IS audit programs for each selected audit project, focusing on potential risk areas.
- Determine the scope of audit tests on all of the group’s automated systems using the annual audit plan.
- Evaluate the adequacy and efficacy of internal controls on new or existing information systems, as well as system changes.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of management-level expertise in IT auditing.
- Bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related subject.
- The minimum professional credential is CISA or an equivalent IT certification.
- Certifications like CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CSX, and CEH will provide an advantage.
- CPA or other accounting certificates will be advantageous.
- Hands-on expertise in IT environments and managing IT systems is advantageous.
