Responsible for the entire administration of M-Pesa Ltd’s sales and distribution networks. This includes, but is not limited to, formulation and implementation of M-PESA distribution strategies, effective acquisition of new M-Pesa customers and maintaining effective customer touchpoints to drive adoption of M-Pesa products and services, management of M-Pesa agents and Super Agent networks, overall management of M-Pesa distribution staff, ensuring continuous performance and achievement of KPIs, contributing to the drafting of budgets, and management of divisions.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement M-Pesa sales and distribution strategy.

  • Manage the acquisition of new M-Pesa subscribers.
  • Establish critical KPIs for the M-Pesa agent network acquisition, regions, and support.
  • Drive efficient float distribution to maintain sufficient liquidity in the M-Pesa ecosystem.
  • Establish operational rules and procedures to help channels and personnel operate smoothly.

Manage all channels of M-Pesa distribution

  • Use M-Pesa distribution to increase M-Pesa product adoption.
  • Manage super agents and agent performance, ensuring that KPIs are satisfied. Key KPIs include float levels, SIM stock holding, and electronic airtime availability at all M-Pesa locations.
  • Evaluate and oversee the daily operations of the national M-Pesa distribution team.
  • In collaboration with regional leaders, verify that super agents, outsourced (TDR) workers, and business employees adhere to established route disciplines.

Experience & Professional qualifications:

  • Requirements: 3-5 years of diverse sales and distribution experience, including at least 2 years at the senior level.
  • Extensive knowledge of the telecom industry and its value chain, as well as a solid comprehension of distribution strategies and market routes.
  • Telecom analysis capabilities, both local and regional.
  • Experience leveraging technology to boost sales and team efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration would be an ideal extra qualification.
