CRDB Bank Plc is an African bank and a leading financial services provider in Tanzania with current presence in Tanzania and Burundi, East Africa.
Support the creation and improvement of essential financial and operational reports for the T24 Core Banking system. The incumbent will use their Oracle SQL expertise to extract and analyze data, ensuring that the generated reports meet the business’s needs and regulatory requirements while also maintaining accurate and timely reporting, which is critical for decision-making and compliance within the financial institution.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Create and manage complicated SQL queries and scripts for extracting data from Oracle databases.
- Create, generate, and modify reports based on T24 Core Banking system data.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and ensure reports are accurate and relevant.
- Perform data validation and troubleshooting to guarantee report integrity and correctness.
- Optimize SQL queries for both speed and scalability.
- Provide end users with documentation and training on how to utilize produced reports.
- Assist the company with ad hoc report development.
- Support report migration and testing during system upgrades or modifications.
- Manage and deliver different analytics job streams for a varied range of customers.
- Gather data and reporting needs to help with integration and acceptance testing, as well as the creation of training and implementation materials.
- Participate in the implementation and give post-implementation assistance as needed to ensure that analytical procedures are effective, efficient, understandable, and integrated.
- Creating data models and reporting tools to illustrate and convey
- value for stakeholders and provide a clear picture of CRDB’s evolving posture.
- Development of models and tools that clearly explain to our stakeholders the major accomplishments and returns on the bank’s investment and innovation efforts. This must be done in ways that are meaningful to them and provide a clear picture of the importance of data in those activities.
- Prepare the data for analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Assist customers in developing measurements and KPIs that address their important business issues.
- Develop dashboards, infographics, and reports.
- Design, create, test, produce, and deploy analytical solutions.
- Creating value from data by using analytics and statistical methods to
- insights, develop recommendations, and convey data value to important stakeholders.
- Assists in the creation of strategic analytics efforts to achieve CRDB objectives.
- Create models to track and predict general and individual bank performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and end users to identify data and design needs for dashboard updates.
- Create dashboards based on user needs.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar profession (or comparable work experience).
- Proficient in developing and customizing reports for the T24 Core Banking system.
- Proficient in creating, optimizing, and maintaining complicated SQL queries and scripts.
- It requires at least 3 years of analytical system support experience.
- Proven familiarity in Oracle SQL, including complicated query construction and optimization.
- Experience with analytical tools for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Experience with banking operations and financial reporting needs.
- Ability to work independently and handle various projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Database, R, and Python.
