TICGL is looking for an experienced project manager for commercial and investment initiatives. The ideal applicant will be in charge of directing and managing business and investment projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the effective execution of business initiatives. This position demands a thorough awareness of Tanzania’s commercial and investment ecosystems, as well as the capacity to form strategic alliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage many commercial and investment initiatives at the same time.
- Develop and execute business and investment strategies that are in line with the company’s aims.
- Identify business and investment possibilities in the local and regional markets.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor and assess project performance to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.
- Provide top management with frequent reporting on project status, risks, and results.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and promote excellent departmental communication.
- Identify and manage project risks to ensure timely resolution of problems.
- Maintain excellent ties with government agencies, investors, and private-sector players.
- Ensure compliance with local rules and corporate standards regarding business and investing operations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a similar discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
- Master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a similar discipline, with at least three years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise managing commercial and investment ventures, mostly in the Tanzanian market.
- A thorough awareness of the local and regional business ecosystems, including developing market trends and investment prospects.
- Excellent communication, negotiating, and leadership abilities.
- Capability to handle numerous tasks concurrently and work under pressure.
- Proficient with project management tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or other related project management certifications.
- Experience working on government or private sector initiatives in Tanzania.
- Fluent in English and Swahili.
