TICGL Hiring Project Manager – Business and Investment

TICGL is looking for an experienced project manager for commercial and investment initiatives. The ideal applicant will be in charge of directing and managing business and investment projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the effective execution of business initiatives. This position demands a thorough awareness of Tanzania’s commercial and investment ecosystems, as well as the capacity to form strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage many commercial and investment initiatives at the same time.
  • Develop and execute business and investment strategies that are in line with the company’s aims.
  • Identify business and investment possibilities in the local and regional markets.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor and assess project performance to ensure timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Provide top management with frequent reporting on project status, risks, and results.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and promote excellent departmental communication.
  • Identify and manage project risks to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Maintain excellent ties with government agencies, investors, and private-sector players.
  • Ensure compliance with local rules and corporate standards regarding business and investing operations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a similar discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a similar discipline, with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise managing commercial and investment ventures, mostly in the Tanzanian market.
  • A thorough awareness of the local and regional business ecosystems, including developing market trends and investment prospects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and leadership abilities.
  • Capability to handle numerous tasks concurrently and work under pressure.
  • Proficient with project management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP or other related project management certifications.
  • Experience working on government or private sector initiatives in Tanzania.
  • Fluent in English and Swahili.
