Silverleaf Academy is a developing network of Tanzanian private schools that provide excellent education to students aged 2 to 14 from lower-middle-income households. Our objective is to provide superior academic and life-skill education. Silverleaf now runs one school in USA River with 400 students and plans to grow to 1,000 by January 2025.

Role Overview:

The school manager will oversee the transition of Silverleaf’s Usa River site into a high-performing school. This position is responsible for the school’s culture, academic programming, staff development, and community relations. The manager is in charge of ensuring academic quality, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vision, coach students regularly, and provide professional development seminars to guide school culture and team growth.
  • Oversee the student experience, including academic achievement, behavior management, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain operational efficiency, enrollment growth, and financial sustainability.
  • Develop connections with parents, local communities, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with child protection policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, school administration, or a comparable discipline.
  • Two to five years of school leadership experience.
  • Proven experience managing operations, academic monitoring, and staff development.
  • Strong community participation and expertise with educational technology.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
