Responsibilities:
- Control your own workload and make sure that important risks and issues are promptly escalated to management.
- In accordance with the available SLAs, handle, examine, and validate every application for client onboarding.
- In order to gather all the supporting documentation required to complete KYC due diligence, keep relationships positive and collaborate closely with Relationship Partner Teams as well as directly with customers as needed.
- Exhibit expertise with compliance software and applications like Jumio and World-Check.
- Serve as a checker to guarantee that the consumer due diligence procedure is both two-eye and four-eye.
- Perform improved due diligence, recurring trigger checks, and risk assessments.
- Keep an eye out for and record any odd behavior or AML indicators.
- Take part in AML/CFT and other pertinent training sessions both internally and externally.
- Manage general administrative tasks and related ancillary tasks in compliance with business constraints.
- Examine the business clients’ and their linked parties’ constitutional documents.
- Look up public listings, licensing status, and rules using open-source search engines.
- Conduct world-check screening for ML risk, TF, PEP, and negative media.
- When necessary, translate business documents into English.
- Create MLRO and senior management escalation forms that include thorough explanations of client risks, warning signs, and mitigating factors.
- Comment on system flaws, vulnerabilities, and required updates.
- Determine any procedural gaps and put processes into place in the onboarding environment.
- Recognize phony or dubious documentation.
- Assure precise data entry by hand.
Requirements:
- At least three years of experience in a corporate onboarding position and a thorough understanding of the laws, procedures, and daily compliance issues that are pertinent.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
- Understanding of several EEA jurisdictions and a variety of client types, including partnerships, trusts, funds, non-operating/asset holding companies, and segregated portfolio companies.
- Familiarity with examining AML policies and procedures and spotting weaknesses in control.
- Strong familiarity with the various business models of virtual asset service providers (VASPs).
- Proficiency in managing evaluations of intricate and high-risk KYB instances, encompassing assessments of broker client profiles and financial institutions.
- It is quite desirable to have ACAMS, CAMS, CCAS, ICA, or comparable certificates.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities.
- Able to adjust to a rapidly changing and changing environment.
- Strong familiarity with applicable standards for subject individuals, as well as local laws, directives, and regulations.
