School Carpenter and Plumber Job at Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania

Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania (AKES, T) is seeking a qualified, dynamic, open-minded, committed, effective, and experienced candidate to fill the position of School Carpenter and Plumber for the new term starting August 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school facilities involving carpentry and plumbing work
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including toilets, sinks, and drainage
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as furniture repair, door and window fitting, and wooden structure maintenance
• Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide timely solutions
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Assist with school improvement projects as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or vocational training in carpentry and plumbing
• Proven experience as a carpenter and plumber
• Knowledge and skills of carpentry and plumbing methods, materials, tools, and safety practices
