Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies to maintain a secure work environment.
• Safely transport the exploration team in company vehicles, ensuring punctuality and professionalism during shift changes.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), traffic laws, and site-specific driving rules during day and night operations, both onsite and offsite.
• Keep the company vehicle in top condition through daily inspections and compliance with maintenance regulations.
• Proactively report hazards or unsafe behaviors to foster a strong safety culture.
• Create and stick to an efficient work schedule that supports the exploration team’s needs.
• Plan trips meticulously, ensuring all required equipment and documentation are ready before departure.
• Perform thorough pre-use vehicle checks and complete all necessary pre-operation paperwork per site protocols.
• Promptly report any vehicle or equipment issues to the maintenance team or Exploration Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, events, and fuel usage.
• Pick up and deliver goods and geological supplies as directed by the Exploration team.
• Ensure the vehicle remains fully operational, clean, and well-maintained.
• Only undertake authorized trips with valid work permits or official instructions, avoiding unnecessary vehicle use.
• Uphold punctuality and professionalism to support seamless field operations.
• Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and management to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Ordinary Level Certificate (Form IV)
• VETA Driving Certificate
• Valid Tanzanian driver’s license (Class B, C, D, and E)

Skills & Experience:

• At least 2 years of driving experience in a large organization, ideally in exploration or mining.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong awareness of mine safety and health practices.
• Solid understanding of mining safety regulations and best practices.
