AB InBev Tanzania is Hiring warehouse supervisor. This position focuses on ensuring AB InBev’s safety standards are effectively implemented while managing warehouse inventory and operations. The role involves overseeing the safe handling, storage, and timely dispatch of goods to enhance customer service and meet productivity benchmarks.
Safety and Compliance:
The role requires strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including proper stacking regulations and site housekeeping. Employees must consistently wear designated PPE and fully implement VPO and DPO protocols.
Warehouse Operations:
Supervising warehouse activities involves maintaining 5S standards, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance with global policies. The role includes managing warehouse layouts (e.g., empties and order-picking zones), tracking ABC compliance for efficiency, and using team rooms for routine problem-solving. KPIs are cascaded to employees, with individual performance monitored to drive results.
Inventory and Stock Management:
Accurate inventory management is critical, with daily stock counts, shift handovers, and quality checks to minimize losses. The role ensures adherence to stock rotation principles (FEFO for sales, LIFO for transfers) and manages empty returns per SOPs.
Loading, Unloading, and Cost Control:
The position oversees loading and unloading processes, ensuring accurate counts and signed delivery documents. Cost control measures include minimizing fuel usage, reducing idling time, and eliminating breakages through safe driving practices.
People Management and Reporting:
This role involves aligning teams through goal-setting and regular meetings to foster continuous improvement. Monthly one-on-one reviews, engagement surveys, and performance management ensure a motivated workforce. Accurate and timely reporting, including pre-trip inspections, fuel records, and stock count sheets, is essential to maintain operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, with at least three years of warehouse operations experience. Applicants must demonstrate strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills (fluency in English and Swahili required), handle pressure effectively, embrace change, and use computers proficiently.
