Bolt Tanzania Hiring Operations Manager

As Bolt continues to expand its ride-hailing business, we are looking for a data-driven, passionate, and dynamic operations manager with excellent leadership skills and a get-it-done attitude to help us transform the mobility industry in Tanzania.

This function is important to our strategy, as it entails taking ownership of our business in specific cities. The operations manager will be in charge of finding, developing, and promoting outstanding employees in order to build a high-performing team. Furthermore, this individual will drive operational excellence, continually challenging the status quo by offering novel and simplified techniques for improving our services.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Own, manage, and lead the expansion of the Bolt Ride Hailing business in allocated cities, with responsibility for its profits and losses (P&L).
  • Oversee initiatives and projects aimed at expanding the business and improving processes, with the goal of providing excellent service to users and drivers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the value proposition for drivers and riders, grow the supply base, and improve performance and retention.
  • Business development involves identifying new revenue prospects, forming partnerships, and negotiating and structuring contracts, including cooperation with driver and vehicle fleets.
  • Lead and create a team of operations specialists to ensure the successful completion of all projects, initiatives, and activities.

About you:

  • You have at least five years of experience in an analytical, consulting, or management role.
  • You have a data-driven analytical mindset and skills, and an extensive command of Excel is necessary.
  • You’ve already led a team and are passionate about developing people.
  • You should have previous experience managing profit and loss statements and building enterprises.
  • You should have past experience managing new product launches or market entry processes.
  • You have excellent bargaining and communication skills in both English and Swahili.
