Role Purpose:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees all of FINCA Tanzania’s financial staff and is directly in charge of organizing, supervising, and directing all accounting and financial operations. He or she will make sure that, while maintaining a steady, effective, and sufficient financial position that is suitably risk-protected, FINCA Tanzania’s financial performance, finances, and operating activities will support the organization in carrying out its mission over the long run. As a member of the Management Team, s/he takes part in decision-making regarding important matters and is accountable for the overall operations and performance of FINCA Tanzania.
Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in implementing the finance and enterprise strategy.
- Oversee the company’s prudence, resilience, and financial excellence.
- Work with the Management Board to improve the entity’s financial performance by supplying critical business information.
- Head financial analytics and business intelligence
- Encourage the CEO to lead the Operating Plan
- Verify adherence to central bank regulations.
- Accountable for the external auditors’ prompt and successful release of the audited FSs
- Take the lead in creating financial statements that adhere to regional accounting requirements.
- Oversee prompt reporting to the appropriate local authorities, such as the tax office and central bank.
- Take the lead in providing FIF with timely reports.
- Optimize FINCA Tanzania’s operations by analyzing financial data and creating financial analysis as a crucial management tool.
Chief Financial Officer Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a business-related program like finance
- A qualification in chartered accounting, such as CPA/ACCA
Experience
- Five years in a senior role or in a position similar to one for a minimum of ten years of banking work experience
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English
