Roles and Responsibilities General business
- Ensuring adherence to IFRS, legal, regulatory, and group standards requirements.
- Upholding and creating sufficient internal control systems, such as rules and procedures, among other things, to guarantee the preservation of professional standards.
- Putting new reporting requirements into effect in accordance with corporate, group, and regulatory standards as well as IFRS.
- Offering transactional consulting services to reduce risks and maximize investment returns for the company.
- Giving advice on the needs for financial due diligence.
- Updating the group on variations between the budget and the actual.
Financial Accounting
- Creation of monthly financial reports in compliance with reporting guidelines and dates set forth by the group and the company.
- Financial reports are prepared on demand as needed by the group or management.
- Timely creation of statutory accounts, or annual financial statements, in compliance with IFRS.
- Accountable for the internal and external auditing procedures as well as the execution of the audit recommendations that follow.
Internal controls
- Putting in place and managing an efficient internal control system.
- Keep an eye on the compliance level and let the CFO know about any flaws you see and any suggestions you have.

Qualification and competence required (all must be attained/possessed)
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or accounting.
- The National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania has certified me as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Seven years of experience, with three of those years having been spent in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience managing intricate statutory audits as a client or carrying out intricate audits in the capacity of an auditor.
