Role Overview:
The PR & Marketing Officer will be responsible for creating brand awareness and maintaining a favorable public image for the organization, reporting to the Country Director (CD) of Good Neighbors Tanzania (GNTZ) and directly to the Administration Manager. The ideal applicant will have prior expertise in media management, public relations, and public affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Online & Offline promotion
- Offline activities include organizing and executing promotional campaigns, creating and distributing press releases, publishing publications, and so on.
- Content Creation: Planning and operating promotional content.
- Utilizing and administering SNS and YouTube channels.
- Managing the homepage and uploads. Create promotional programs and campaigns.
- Creating videos and snippets.
- General Public Relations Work
- Media Relations: Establishing and maintaining connections with journalists and media professionals to achieve favorable publicity. Publications: Developing and managing content for newsletters, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Ensure efficient communication throughout the company by sharing critical information and updates.
- Tracking media coverage and public impressions of the organization to inform public relations initiatives.
- Preparing reports on public relations operations, media coverage, and campaign effectiveness to give insights and suggestions for future action.
Qualifications, experiences and competencies:
- A university degree in a relevant subject, such as graphic design, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Experience with digital marketing and social media management. · A minimum of one to two years of related experience. documented success in fundraising endeavors.
- Experience developing partnerships and mobilizing resources on a national scale.
Other Competencies/Attributes:
- To generate visually attractive material, you’ll need graphic design and video editing skills.
- Video production planning and management abilities. effective communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all messages are accurate and consistent.
- Strong problem-solving abilities are required to successfully confront and resolve difficulties.
- Capable of working both alone and collaboratively.
- Expert understanding of English.
