The Jhpiego Internship program aims at providing experiences to young professionals, mostly those who are fresh graduates, and mentoring them into professional roles. This internship will provide an experience for a young professional to get good on-the-job experiences; the tasks involved are not critical and do not require full-time staff to complete.
The Administrative Intern will have hands-on experience as well as the ability to study and obtain work experience, which will help the applicant in his or her job hunt and expand his or her knowledge of Office Administration responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Attending visitors and performing all other receptionist chores.
- Keep the reception area clean and tidy all the time.
- Provide effective support to Jhpiego professionals, as well as operational support in the office
- Receive courier and send office parcels to their respective regions and follow up on signing dispatch.
- Record and report on office assets to ensure they are tagged.
- Receive and dispatch all letters to and from Ministries and other government offices, such as the Registrar of NGOs in Dodoma.
- Maintain a record of documents submitted to the office for dispatch to the ministry.
- Keep a record of all documents presented to the ministry.
- Dispatch and closely monitor letters sent to the MOH, updating the sender as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Secretarial and/or office management/operations training.
- Effective communication skills
- Computer proficiency.
