KVTC Hiring Auto-Electric Technician

The Auto-Electric Technician will perform regular maintenance on KVTC’s vehicle fleet at the Mavimba industrial site as well as in-field activities. This function is in charge of checking, servicing, troubleshooting, and conducting maintenance while assuring accuracy in all workshop-related operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose automobile difficulties, with an emphasis on auto-electrical elements, and determine the necessary fixes.
  • Carry out authorized repairs efficiently.
  • Extensive knowledge in 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine maintenance.
  • Repair or replace broken or service components such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
  • Perform regular maintenance, such as changing the oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating the tires.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet their requirements effectively.
  • As assigned, perform additional relevant responsibilities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Certificate in car mechanics from a reputable Tanzanian training center.
  • Proficient in automotive electrical and mechanical jobs.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical tools for vehicles, as well as exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification in auto-electrical and mechanical from a reputable Tanzanian training center.
  • Ten years of expertise at an industrial vehicle workshop.
  • Valid driver’s license for motorbikes, LDVs, and trucks weighing up to 8 tons.
  • Qualifications for operating heavy equipment such as Bell Loggers, TLB excavators, and forklifts are advantageous.
  • Willingness to migrate and settle in Mavimba Village, Ulanga District.
