Plan, organize, and supply cost-effective, efficient, and highly available core network infrastructure services for data, voice, and video.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify internal customer/business requirements to develop high-level and low-level network designs.
  • Create, implement, and maintain rules, procedures, processes, standards, and recommendations for network resource management and utilization.
  • Manage and assure the proper functioning of all core network infrastructure equipment for the Data Center Network’s network segments.
  • Conduct research and provide suitable suggestions on network goods, services, protocols, and standards to help enhance network services on a constant basis.
  • Provide periodic capacity and forecast planning information, as well as reports, to help management make choices.
  • Improve the methodologies and technical procedures utilized by the network team/NOC/field assistance to provide branch network assistance and troubleshooting strategies to guarantee smooth branch business operations.
  • Review and maintain data center networks, as well as expand current network infrastructure via periodic hardware and software updates.
  • Administer network systems for NMB Branch LAN, WAN, business partners, and the Internet to guarantee optimal performance and quality in a secure environment.
  • Collaborate with network service providers and suppliers to enable successful and timely integration of the bank’s remote channels and business partners.
  • For more cost-effective management, examine supplier service contracts, enforce SLAs, and validate and reconcile invoices.
  • Responsible for designing, staging, configuring, implementing, and supporting VoIP and contact center systems, as well as doing configuration installs as needed and serving as the IP address custodian.
  • Responsible for coordinating and carrying out internal proof-of-concept studies on innovative technologies to increase network performance.
  • Responsible for sharing expertise with the Level 1 Support staff and Network Specialists about solutions to undocumented problems.
  • Monitoring network devices and identifying major problems that surpass thresholds that potentially cause downtime, allowing network users to access network resources.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the bank’s goods and operations.
  • Advanced understanding of network support and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of IP networks, Layer 2, and Layer 3 protocols.
  • Advanced understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and lightweight access points.
  • Knowledge of voice, video, and data switches and routers; telecommunications protocols and standards; voice and data infrastructure tools and services; QoS design and operation.
  • Knowledge of Data Center Network Technologies (DC Interconnect, Cisco Nexus, VPC, Cisco ACI, SAN, UCS, FI, etc.) and Voice Technologies (E1s, SIP). Rooting and VPNs: (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, FlexVPN, DMVPN, route redistribution, loop prevention, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding of Network Automation technologies and Software Defined Networks (SDNs), including Cisco SD-Access, SD-WAN, and ACI.
  • IT Service Management, Communication, and Project Management Skills
  • Ability to operate on one’s own initiative and as a self-starter, prioritizing tasks with little supervision.
  • Committed to self-development and eager to learn new skills and embrace new technology.
  • Team player that inspires and teaches other team members, particularly level 1 and field support.
  • Capability to coordinate network service providers, suppliers, contractors, and others.
  • Strong grasp of encryption methods for wide-area networks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, communication engineering, or a similar subject.
  • 5 years of integrated networking, security, phone, video, and unified communications expertise. Network design, implementation, and support environments.
  • CCNP R&S/Enterprise and CCNP DC (aspires to be CCIE-DC, an extra benefit)
  • Other network professional certifications include ITILv3, CCIP, CCVP, CCDP, CCDE, ISE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Checkpoint CCSA and CCSE, Radware, F5, Arista, AWS, and VCP.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, WAN, VPN, wired and wireless LAN technologies.
