NMB Bank Plc. (“NMB”) is a full-service commercial bank incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania. Through its 3 main business divisions: Retail, Wholesale, and Treasury, NMB provides a suite of financial services and products to retail customers, farmers, SMEs, Corporates, Institutions and the Government.
It is your responsibility to assist in the planning and execution of efficient plans, programs, and processes related to health, safety, and the environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assistance in organizing required fire and Health, Safety, and Environment (OHS) inspections, as well as the implementation of corrective measures in response to the inspection results.
- Work along with OSHA to make sure that required trainings on occupational health and safety are given.
- Support the Head Office’s and the network’s branches’ operations so they can implement the OSHA program.
- As contractors perform their duties on the bank’s behalf, make sure they adhere to OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with the fire department and OSHA to guarantee that all of our office buildings are inspected and that the appropriate corrective measures are implemented.
- Assist HQ and its network’s branches in implementing the Health Safety and Environment (OHS) programs by providing coordination and support.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid knowledge of the OSHA Act of 2003, as well as any related regulations and OSHA-provided procedures.
- Strong familiarity with the requirements related to the Fire and Rescue Act of 2007.
- Presentation and report writing abilities.
- Outstanding abilities in documentation and communication
- Outstanding planning and workshop/training facilitation abilities
- The capacity to visit the regions on a large scale.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as environmental engineering or science
- The National Occupational Safety and Health Course (NOSHC) training program
- Three to five years of experience in the environmental, occupational health, and safety fields.
