The vice chancellor of the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) wishes to inform all job applicants that interviews are scheduled to take place from 5th May 2025 to 8th May 2025. After the interviews, successful candidates will be assigned to their respective duty stations.
All applicants are required to attend the interviews by strictly following the instructions below:
Important Interview Guidelines
All shortlisted candidates must attend the interviews as scheduled from 5th May to 8th May 2025, and each session will be held based on the respective job category (Kada). It is essential that candidates arrive on time at the locations specified in the official announcement. Interviews will not be rescheduled for those who arrive late or miss their designated date.
Each interviewee must bring a valid form of identification, such as a National ID (NIDA), Voter’s ID, Local Government ID, Passport, or Driving License. Additionally, all candidates are required to wear a face mask for health and safety purposes. Failure to comply with this protocol may result in being denied entry to the interview venue.
Candidates must present original academic certificates including their birth certificate, Form IV and VI certificates, diploma, degree, and professional transcripts. Please note that testimonials, provisional results, and statement of results slips—especially for Form IV and VI—will not be accepted. Anyone presenting only these documents will be disqualified from proceeding with the interview.
For positions that require registration with professional boards, candidates must come with proof of such registration, including a valid license to practice. Those who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been authenticated by the relevant authorities such as TCU, NACTE, or NECTA. Applicants are also encouraged to log into their accounts and verify their examination numbers, as those who do not may miss the opportunity to interview.
All expenses related to travel, meals, and accommodation will be borne by the candidates. Furthermore, those attending interviews in Dar es Salaam should plan for traffic congestion and aim to arrive early at the venue. Applicants whose names do not appear in the list should understand that they did not meet the qualifications and are advised not to reapply for this particular call.
Takeaway Tips
- Double-check your documents—originals only!
- Arrive early to avoid missing your slot.
- Don’t rely on result slips or testimonials—they will be rejected.
- Verify your name on the shortlist before traveling.
