In order to fulfill a crucial strategic leadership role in overseeing the Market Shaping practice’s Tanzania-based team, Results for Development (R4D) is looking for a highly driven and dynamic Senior Program Officer to operate as the Senior Market Shaping Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes, helps, and engages in projects, activities, and initiatives as required by management in order to fully engage as a member of R4D.
- Give regular guidance and technical leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the MSP Tanzania team to oversee the formulation of analytical problems and the creation of technical qualitative and quantitative analytical products and methodologies (e.g., stakeholder mapping and landscaping analyses, quantification and procurement data analysis), including providing analytics coaching to team members.
- Gain knowledge from analyses and oversee the creation of excellent, useful materials for the government, donors, and partners.
- In close collaboration with MSP and R4D leadership, find innovative ways to grow ongoing work in Tanzania. You should also be able to lead and successfully participate in business development activities.
Qualification required:
- A master’s degree in business or management, public health, public policy, or another relevant field is preferred.
- seven years minimum of related work experience. Candidates with prior expertise designing product introduction/scale-up strategies, developing and implementing commodities financing strategies, doing market research or analysis, and/or extending access to healthcare, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, will be given preference.
- a history of establishing alliances, fostering trust, and advocating for a wide range of stakeholders in multicultural settings and between public and private sector entities; Particularly pertinent is prior experience closely collaborating with the Tanzanian government.
- Proven ability to oversee the creation of excellent analyses from conception to completion and use those analyses to influence decision-makers’ actions for maximum impact.
