Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL), one of Diageo Africa’s fully integrated beverage companies, is responsible for both beer and spirit supply and demand.
You can’t miss SBL’s Serengeti Premium Lager. Other brands in the portfolio include SIB, Guinness, Pilsner, and Serengeti Lite. SBL, a global spirits distributor situated in Dar es Salaam, distributes a number of well-known spirits brands, including Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Gordon’s, Bailey’s, and Captain Morgan.
In this position, you will be responsible for the incoming and exiting inventory operations of a specified warehouse for Serengeti Breweries Limited commodities, including raw materials, packaging materials, and Point of Sale (POS) systems. Doing this properly requires little risk and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing Materials Requirement Plans (MRP) to ensure the warehouse’s effective usage.
- Stock administration includes weekly and monthly counts, as well as yearly stocktakes and variation analysis. Monitor stock levels, innovation status, SLOBs, and stock aging, and report to PLAN as appropriate.
- Performance management reviews include meetings, Key Performance Indicators, walkabouts, action tracking, and escalations to the Warehouse Manager for both Diageo and 3PL for improvement and initiative implementation.
- Procedures: Ensure that the warehouse meets Diageo’s health, safety, and environmental standards; Improve the warehouse’s lighting, signage, security, rack structure, and brewing procedures, as well as its CARM, IAA, ISO, and SFIPP certifications.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A minimum of a diploma in the appropriate discipline.
- At least three years of experience in a relevant operations or inventory management job.
- Computer literate, with the ability to operate within agreed-upon schedules and goals.
- Good communicator with commercial acumen and the capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing operational environment.
