Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS) is a native nonprofit organization that was founded in 2011 under the nonprofit Organization Act No. 24 of 2002. Through the strengthening of health and community systems, THPS collaborates with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Community Development Gender Older people and Special Groups, Regional Administration and Local Governments (PORALG), Ministry of Health in Zanzibar, and Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) to ensure that all Tanzanians have access to high-quality health care and social welfare services.
Overall Job Summary:
To monitor the financial and administrative processes to ensure the use of such funds, and to concentrate on all matters pertaining to sub grantees’ effective management of THPS funds. They will collaborate with Pwani sub-grantees of THPS to strengthen their ability to manage donor funds in an efficient and compliant manner, including timely reporting. They will oversee the subs budgeting process under the direction of the subs grants manager and give the THPS regular updates on how the subs work plans and budgets are being implemented.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Help in determining the sub winners’ administrative and financial needs.
- To comply with donor and THPS standards, modify administrative and financial policies and processes, including manuals, user guides, and templates, for the sub awardees.
- Staff members of sub grantees should receive technical assistance and training to enhance their administrative and financial systems through the use of THPS management tools and general fund management protocols.
- Take the lead on technical matters for regional subs’ annual planning and budgeting, and collaborate closely with regional and district managers to guarantee that the program’s operations are regularly monitored.
- Make sure the subcontractor spending reports are carefully examined to make sure the certified reports are free from fraud and mistakes and meet USG standards, THPS criteria, and donor specifications.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:
- A master’s degree in project management, finance, or accounting
- CPA/ACCA is an extra benefit.
- Collaborating with R/CHMTs and NGOs both domestically and abroad.
- Reporting and management requirements for donor support, including USG funding
- Auditing expertise is an additional benefit.
