As of right now, the University of Iringa is divided into six faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Science and Education, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Psychology. Numerous undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree programs are offered by the university under several faculties.

Admissions Procedures:

Candidates must submit their admission applications directly to the university via the online application portal at www.olas.uoi.ac.tz or by filling out an application on the university website at www.uoi.ac.tz.

Admissions Team:

The senior admissions officer will present the short-listed prospects to the admissions team. The Senate will provide its ultimate clearance before admitting someone. Following application, candidates will get notification through their application account if they do not meet the requirements for admission as outlined in the admissions manual. Accepted students must download the joining instructions from their application account or pick them up at the admissions office in order to prepare ahead of time. The joining instructions and fee schedule will be included.

Transferring Students:

Students may follow the processes outlined by Tanzania Commissions for Universities (TCU) in order to transfer from one university to another or from one program to another. Students must follow all rules, which include turning in a confidential report and a release letter from the university where they were previously admitted. Transfers resulting from disciplinary actions, poor academic standing, or cessation will not be accepted.

Registration:

Only after completing the necessary payments as outlined in the university’s fee schedule can selected students register. All students must register by the end of TWO weeks from the university’s opening date. The right to register for that semester will be forfeited by a student who does not register by the deadline at the beginning of the semester.

Beginning with the first week of classes, the university mandates that all new students attend an orientation session. All incoming students will learn about the university’s campus, academic life, personnel, resources, and policies during their time there through this program.

Documents required for Registration:

  • Original admission letter
  • Original Academic certificates (Form four, Six, NTA level 4(Certificate), Diploma certificates and its AVN, Bachelor Degree Certificate and Transcripts.
  • Equivalent certificate from NECTA for those who obtained their education outside Tanzania
  • Evidence of payment of Tuition fees.
