The Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) is an autonomous corporate body established in 2014 in compliance with section 8 of the Wildlife Conservation Act CAP 283 through Government Notice (GN) No. 135 of May 2014 and its amendment vide GN. no. 20 of 23rd January 2015. The Authority is responsible for administration and sustainable management of wildlife resources and biodiversity outside National Parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Currently, TAWA is looking for 25 Vacancies Open.
TAWA hereby invites applications from capable, committed, dedicated, and qualified public servants who would like to be transferred to TAWA in the following positions.
Open Positions and Description
1. Senior Conservator- Civil Engineer – 3 Posts
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in civil or building engineering, or a comparable degree from an accredited university, and have at least seven (7) years of professional experience in this field. The applicant needs to have an active Professional Engineer registration with ERB.
2. Senior Conservator – Mechanical Engineer – 1 Post
- Possesses a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited school and has at least seven (7) years of professional experience. The applicant needs to have an active Professional Engineer registration with ERB.
3. Conservator I – Civil Engineer – 2 Posts
- Possessing a bachelor’s degree in civil or building engineering, or a comparable degree from an accredited university, and having at least four years of professional experience in this sector. The applicant needs to have an active Professional Engineer registration with ERB.
4. Conservation Ranger I – Mechanical Technician – 10 Posts
- Possessing a mechanical diploma, full technician certificate (FTC), or comparable credentials from an accredited school. Four years of minimum work experience in this industry is required.
5. Conservation Ranger I – Civil Technician – 1 Post
- Possessing a diploma, full technician certificate (FTC) in civil engineering, or credentials comparable to those from an accredited school. Four years of minimum work experience in this industry is required.
6. Conservation Ranger I – Plant Operator – 2 Posts
- Possessor of a Form Four Certificate and a Certificate of Plants Operation from an accredited institution, as well as technical expertise and practical plant and heavy machinery operating experience. An applicant for a plant operator should hold a Class F driver’s license or an equivalent. Four years of minimum work experience in this industry is required.
7. Conservation Ranger II -Accounts Assistant – 1 Post
- A graduate of an accredited university with a diploma in accounting, finance, commerce with a major in accounting or finance, business administration with a major in accounting or finance, intermediate module C, or a comparable degree. must have worked in this field for at least a year.
8. Conservator II – Information and Communication Technology Officer – Programmer – 1 Post
- Having completed a degree program in computer science or a related subject from an accredited university. must have worked in this field for at least a year.
9. Conservation Ranger II – Assistant Information and Communication Technology Officer – 3 Posts
- Possessing a diploma from an accredited institution in any of the following disciplines: computer science, computer engineering, information technology, software development, information systems, system administration, or their equivalents. must have worked in this field for at least a year.
10. Conservation Ranger II – Office Management Secretary -1 Post
- Holders of a Diploma in Secretarial Studies, a Form IV Certificate with passes in both English and Swahili, and computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet, email, and Microsoft Publisher from an accredited institution. must have worked in this field for at least a year.
Mode of Application:
